However, in most cases, clear aligners will work equally well for straightening teeth and aligning the jaw in older patients. This solution is a convenient alternative to braces that fit securely around the teeth like a retainer and will move the teeth into position by applying consistent pressure.
Since patients can take clear aligners out while eating, they are far more convenient of a solution. Additionally, if a patient only has a few challenges with a smile, we may be able to correct them using cosmetic solutions like dental veneers. For example, if one only has a gap or two, veneers can close them in a matter of weeks.
